mylar sleeves
- Mylar D is a chemically inert material, recommended by specialists worldwide
for Museum Quality Archival Storage. The US Library of Congress and the University
of Utrecht
both use it. Since comics themselves exude acids that lead to their eventual degeneration, Just Comics Collectorline®
Mylar sleeves* are open ended, to allow aeration.
The "rainbow" effect sometimes seen on the surface is caused by light diffraction which occurs when two microscopically
smooth surfaces rest closely together. Any reference to Mylar is to Mylar type D. Mylar is a ® registered
trademark of Dupont Co.
* Just comic sleeves are welded on three sides, and open along one short side.

backer boards
Calcium - Buffered Backers...
...are impregnated with calcium which actively "mop-up" the acids emitted
from
comics, thus maintaining a neutral pH environment. A "must" where long-term protection
of valuable books is concerned, where their MQ archival qualities will be required.

Our 3-ring trading card binders hold most types of card sleeves, and are preferred for
their "D" shaped 6 cm spine rings which allow around 150-200 sleeves to lie flush. They have a marbled blue covering
and are front padded.

Semi rigid card holders
Top loading semi rigids are high clarity PVC single card holders which offer
a high level of mechanical strength. Very popular for special cards.
